Summer 2011 Class Schedule
Center
Stage Performing Arts Academy offers students the chance to expand their
talents and their love of the arts in many areas. Our mission is to offer a comprehensive
curriculum which will help students build self-esteem and become well-rounded
in ALL areas of the performing arts. Our
summer curriculum allows students the opportunity to try new things and explore
new areas in a short time span. Class
sizes are limited, so sign up early! Everyone is welcome. You do not need to be a current student. Please call for more information,

Lyrical
Camp (Jr. high and high school aged students)
M-F 2pm-3:30pm August 8-12 Instructor: Miss Marla
Sometimes words just
can’t express our feelings. In these
times we dance, dance with joy, with passion, with anger, and with hope. In this lyrical class we will use music and
lyrics to dig into some of the topics in today’s society as well as take a
deeper look into who we are and what makes each of us special. Lyrical is a
beautiful dance form implementing ballet, modern, and jazz techniques to
express lyrics of songs. $75
Ballet
Technique (Leveled students and Adults)
M-W-TH 5pm-6pm June 6-August 12 Instructor: Center Stage Staff
Class will include
barre work, center work, across the floor, and combinations/choreography. An excellent class for any dancer who wishes
to stay in shape over the summer.
Students may purchase 10, 20, or 30 classes and may attend at their
convenience.

Voice
Training (ages 6-12)
M-W 4pm-5pm August 1, 3, 8, 10 Instructor:
Miss Christina
This group vocal class will concentrate on sound
production, proper breathing techniques, basic music theory, and singing
together as an ensemble. $45
Audition
(ages 8 and up including adults)

W 6pm-7:30pm August 1, 3, 8, 10 Instructor: Miss Christina
This class is designed
to help the student create a 2 minute audition suitable for summer stock,
college, and scholarship auditions.
Students will learn how to choose songs and monologues appropriate for
their age and talents and how to put them together to create a “package” that
is sure to make auditioners take notice. $68
Tap
Technique (Leveled Students and Adults)

TH 6pm-7pm August 2, 4, 9, 11 Instructor: Miss Christina
Keep your tap skills
sharp and take some time to increase those skills. Technique work and combinations will keep
your toes tapping. $45
